Events
Drenthe is known for its beautiful nature, expansive landscape and charming villages. There is also plenty to do in terms of events! Throughout the year, numerous fun activities are organised for young and old alike.
Lepeltje Lepeltje Foodfestival
Zwolle, there is a generous helping of goodies on the menu! No fewer than 16 kitchens and 3 special bars are setting up shop amidst the greenery. Six of them are making their debut at Lepeltje Lepeltje: Borian Langos, Zwolle's Lakay, Martabak House, Melona, Staal, and the Wadbus are tossing new flavors into the park. From Mexican to Surinamese, from Caribbean and Jamaican to Hungarian and Japanese, and of course local specialties: a culinary world tour without leaving your own city. If you have an allergy, the chefs are happy to look into what is possible with you. That way, everyone can dive into the tasting.

Boundless art exploration
What is Borderless Art Explore
Grensloos Kunst Verkennen is a route along visual art that can be seen uniquely and temporarily in the villages de Wijk (Drenthe) and IJhorst (Overijssel) and in the landscape of the border river Reest. It is a biennial, so every two years the offerings are completely new. New in this edition is the language project Leve(n)de Taal, where visitors are invited, among other things, to participate in a Haiku contest.
The landscape in which the Reest meanders is a beautiful area to relax, walk, cycle and enjoy, including the many storks. An area to come back to again. The art on display is well worth further exploration. The route is 8 kilometers long and very suitable for walking or cycling. The art trail can also be visited in parts on several days.

C.H. de Wolden international competition
The show has grown into a huge multi-day event and will be held this year from July 16 to 19 and from July 23 to 26 on the show grounds of former international Jan Broek. Visitors can dream away for eight days with the most beautiful horses and enjoy the best equestrian sports. Not the least names are participating in the international classes. The participating riders, amazons and horses come from over thirty different countries.
